Burt Shepherd wins Heart of Salford Community volunteer award!

Our esteemed chairman Burt Shepherd was awarded the CVS community volunteer award for 2015. This is both tribute to Burt's personal leadership and to the continuing development of Access 2 All Areas This prestigious award was presented to Burt by Salford CVS Chief Executive Alison Page.


Deaf Support Service: Swinton Gateway

There is now a Deaf Support Service @ Swinton Gateway.

Support can cover a range of issues including benefits/debt/housing.
The service is by appointment only and these can be arranged via text message. Appointments are offered for 30 minutes or 1 hour by somebody who is able to communicate in British Sign Language.


NB: Appointments are Tuesdays & Fridays 09:30-12:30


Some good news for fishermen in Pendlebury..

Following consultation the Council has done some work in the
area known locally as the “Prison Pond”, located on the land next to Forest
Bank Prison.

The following works have been completed and the area now
benefits from;
New multi-user fishing platforms, suitable for people with disabilities.

·       A new disabled car parking area

·       Improved pathways to the pond

·       Additional seating

The is a great improvement – well done to all involved!
